What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server instances in production and non-production environments.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies for optimal efficiency.
• Manage database security, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize T-SQL queries and database design.
• Contribute to the transition toward a 'Database as a Service' (DBaaS) model.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as an MS SQL Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture and high availability solutions (AlwaysOn, clustering).
• Expertise in backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and automation tools.
• Must be local to the Netherlands or hold Dutch/EU work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure SQL Database.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Exposure to BI tools and data warehousing concepts.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification.
