What you will do
- Develop and refine 1D meanline, throughflow, and reduced-order aerodynamic models for compressors and turbines.
- Perform high-fidelity CFD simulations for on-design and off-design conditions using ANSYS CFX, Fluent, and NUMECA.
- Conduct parametric trade studies to evaluate performance, efficiency, stability margins, and operability.
- Support internal R&T initiatives and the improvement of aerodynamic toolchains and automation workflows.
- Lead rig test planning, perform data reduction, and correlate computational predictions with experimental findings.
- Collaborate with aerothermal, structural, and mechanical design teams through technical reviews and cross-functional discussions.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 3 to 5 years of industry experience in turbomachinery aerodynamic design and development.
- Strong expertise in aero gas turbine turbomachinery.
- Proficiency with ANSYS CFD tools (CFX, Fluent, NUMECA Fine/Turbo, STAR CCM+).
- Experience with geometry and meshing tools such as ICEM, TurboGrid, and AutoGrid.
