Senior Resident Engineer (Roads & Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead the site supervision team including Resident Engineers, Inspectors, and support staff.
• Ensure construction complies with approved designs, drawings, specifications, and UAE authority standards.
• Monitor contractor progress, review method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with client, contractor, and authorities; lead progress and technical meetings.
• Track schedules, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and mitigate delays.
• Enforce QA/QC, HSE policies, and administer contracts including payments and variations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20+ years total experience, 10+ years in roads & infrastructure supervision projects.
• Proven experience with consultancy firms in UAE and strong knowledge of UAE authority standards (e.g., ADQCC, DMT, ADM).
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project reporting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in Abu Dhabi projects (Mafraq or similar).
• Familiarity with AD authorities and approval processes.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer).
