Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Develop and deploy scalable software solutions aligned with complex business needs.
• Contribute to high-level system architecture decisions focusing on configurability and maintainability.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery cycles.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate user needs into innovative features.
• Optimize application performance, security, and reliability through thorough code reviews.
• Mentor the team on modern engineering practices, TypeScript typing, and efficient AI-prompting.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development architecting enterprise-grade applications.
• Proficiency in the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js).
• Demonstrated ability to use AI-augmented development tools without sacrificing architecture quality.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including vector search.
• Deep experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be able to live and work full-time in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
