What you will do

• Write high-quality backend code using Python or Kotlin to power card products.
• Design and implement scalable systems and APIs within service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Analytics teams to execute the Card platform strategy.
• Build and extend core decisioning services by developing new risk and fraud mitigation features.
• Create and maintain data models to support system efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in engineering on-call processes to ensure operational stability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Senior Backend Software Engineer.
• Strong expertise in building backend systems using Python or Kotlin.
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Solid understanding of relational database systems and distributed systems architecture.
• Proven track record of building APIs and backend services at scale.
• English: B2 level or higher required

Nice to have

• Experience with card processing, transaction processing, money movement, or ACH.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Marqeta, Stripe, or FIS.
