AI-Forward Engineer (AI): Implementing AI-powered tools and workflows to accelerate product, engineering, and operational teams with an accent on agentic coding, CI/CD optimization, and model evaluation. Focus on building internal AI-native intelligence platforms, automating testing pipelines, and prototyping cutting-edge AI integrations.

Location: Hybrid in Redwood City, California (2-3 days in office required)

Salary: $150,000 – $250,000

What you will do

  • Collaborate across product, engineering, and operations to translate business pain points into AI-enabled solutions.
  • Implement AI-assisted developer tooling and agentic coding workflows using Claude Code and AI-enhanced CI/CD pipelines.
  • Evaluate and integrate frontier models (Claude, Gemini, GPT) into team workflows for reasoning and coding.
  • Build AI-augmented testing pipelines and automate codebase refactoring through AST-based tooling.
  • Create internal AI interfaces, such as chat-based assistants and Slack integrations, for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Establish organizational best practices for agentic engineering, model evaluation, and cost management.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering or DevOps roles.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including TypeScript, Java, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and AWS.
  • Practical experience building with frontier AI models or agentic coding tools.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Redwood City, CA (2-3 days per week).
  • A strong bias for shipping prototypes quickly over perfecting final versions.
