What you will do

• Build and ship end-to-end features across the hirify.global platform, from implementation through deployment.
• Refactor legacy areas (Backbone, Handlebars/jQuery) to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability.
• Own reliability and performance by diagnosing production issues and improving UX.
• Drive frontend architecture, proposing patterns, tooling, and conventions.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and sharing best practices.
• Partner with Product and Design to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality user experiences.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and modern frontend development practices.
• Significant experience with React and Redux in production.
• Experience working in Node/Express environments.
• Comfort working in and improving legacy codebases (Backbone, Handlebars, jQuery).
• Must be located in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with ecommerce or marketplace products.
• Familiarity with Figma, design systems, and accessibility.
• Experience improving frontend performance and observability in production.
• BA/BS in a STEM-related field.
