What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, high-performing network security application software based on product requirements.
• Develop specialized plugins to interface with network devices (firewalls, routers, switches) and security ecosystems like Splunk and ServiceNow.
• Mentor junior developers and lead collaborative projects to ensure high-quality engineering standards.
• Drive architectural design discussions across global teams to ensure seamless product integration.
• Author comprehensive design documentation and unit tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead code reviews and utilize advanced diagnostic skills to resolve challenging technical issues.

Requirements

• 10+ years of commercial software development experience in software or appliance companies.
• 5+ years of deep expertise in Core Java, including multithreading, dynamic loading, and event-driven architecture.
• Proven track record of building infrastructure/API layers and highly scalable distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, and Gradle.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM and continuous integration.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure (routers, firewalls, load balancers, and switches).
• Exposure to SDN/cloud fabric such as VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, Amazon EC2, or Microsoft Azure.
