TL;DR

Senior Embedded Software Engineer (AV Networking): Designing, developing, and testing embedded software for audio and video networked products with an accent on hardware drivers and networking protocols. Location: Hybrid - Must be based in Sydney, New South Wales (Office in Surry Hills)

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and test embedded software, hardware drivers, and networking protocols using C++ and C.
  • Collaborate with new product and sustaining engineering teams on product enhancements and new introductions.
  • Perform design and code reviews for peer engineers to ensure high quality.
  • Execute unit, integration, and system-level testing of software components and hardware-software systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Strong experience with real-time embedded systems and debugging code for microcontroller environments.
  • Ability to read schematics and perform circuit debugging.
  • Must be based in Sydney for regular in-person collaboration at the office.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Xilinx Zynq SoC platforms and FPGA logic integration.
  • Strong embedded Linux skills and experience with build systems such as Yocto, PetaLinux, or Buildroot.
  • Knowledge of networking and ethernet switch chipsets.
  • Prior experience developing products for the audio or video industries.
