What you will do

• Direct strategic growth and operational objectives, including productivity and quality standards.
• Lead and oversee a team of 75+ in-house, offshore, and vendor coders.
• Establish coding performance metrics, monitor team output, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for complex coding claim scenarios and ICD-10 CM/PCS assignments.
• Prepare and present reports on coding accuracy, compliance, and productivity to executive leadership.
• Coordinate the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in inpatient coding and clinical validation within a payment integrity setting.
• Certified Inpatient Coder or unrestricted Registered Nurse with CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) or CIC (Certified Inpatient Coder).
• Deep knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS code assignment, sequencing, and CMS requirements.
• Experience managing DRG coding teams within a large, fast-growing payment integrity vendor.
• Must be based within the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
