What you will do

• Design and implement retrieval, ranking, and reranking models using deep learning approaches like two-tower architectures and transformers.
• Build and optimize multi-stage candidate generation and impression allocation pipelines to balance relevance and diversity.
• Design and execute A/B experiments to validate model improvements and own evaluation frameworks.
• Collaborate with analytics and content quality teams to refine ranking signals such as genre classification and creator credibility.
• Own ML infrastructure decisions, balancing batch, near-real-time, and streaming serving architectures.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience building production recommendation or ranking systems, preferably in UGC or marketplaces.
• Expertise in deep learning for information retrieval and multi-stage recommendation pipelines.
• Strong Python engineering skills with proficiency in PyTorch and large-scale data processing (Spark).
• Proven ability to design and analyze A/B experiments and handle recommendation system biases.
• Experience working in cloud-based ML environments (AWS).

Nice to have

• Experience with content understanding models (NLP, vision, or generative AI) used as ranking features.
• Knowledge of explore/exploit strategies, content cold-start, or counterfactual evaluation.
• Familiarity with creator economy dynamics and incentive design.
• Passion for video games or experience with gaming analytics.
