What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and fullstack applications using PHP and TypeScript.
• Build and operate highly available services meeting strict performance and uptime goals.
• Lead technical architecture discussions and establish engineering best practices.
• Implement observability tools for logging, monitoring, and tracing to improve system reliability.
• Drive automation across the development, testing, and deployment lifecycles.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to promote continuous learning and quality.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in PHP (Laravel, Symfony) and TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js, React).
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of system design, scalability, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Must be based in or be willing to relocate to Hermosillo, Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
• Experience in database design and optimization (SQL/NoSQL).
• Understanding of security best practices in application development.
