Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 USD

What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Level 1 engineers, setting performance standards and conducting 1:1s.
• Act as the primary escalation point for AMRS incidents, leading client and internal calls for rapid resolution.
• Oversee circuit lifecycle, vendor/carrier escalations, and outage resolution within a telecom/carrier context.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and tooling through automation initiatives using Python and APIs.
• Maintain professional client relationships through standardized incident notification frameworks and clear communication.
• Contribute to runbooks, SLA governance, and audit/compliance deliverables.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing Level 1 technical support teams in 24/7 environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, BGP).
• Track record of running high-pressure incident bridges with senior stakeholders.
• Must be based in Chicago, IL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Certifications in ITIL, CCNA/CCNP, or Linux.

Nice to have

• Solid understanding of Linux servers and basic scripting/automation in Python.
• Background in financial services or low-latency trading infrastructure.
