What you will do

• Collaborate multi-functionally with the Industrial Design team to develop new products.
• Lead the definition and fixing of technical specifications with multiple suppliers.
• Drive the advancement of materials and processes that serve as building blocks for devices.
• Manage technical projects through the entire lifecycle from R&D to production.
• Communicate technically with Japanese suppliers to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• MS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of work experience in the consumer electronics field.
• Technical knowledge of deposition and decoration technologies (e.g., PVD, screen printing, inkjet printing).
• Ability to communicate in Japanese on technical topics.
• Fluent English proficiency for internal and external communication.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 20% of work time.

Nice to have

• Experience with coating processes and tool hardware development.
• Experience designing with brittle materials such as glass or ceramics.
• Experience processing and finishing metals (Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless steel).
• Experience with high-quality cosmetic parts and finishes.
