Lead Game Designer (Web3)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada; 100% remote

What you will do

• Create the game vision and own major design areas, including core mechanics and overarching features.
• Develop prototypes and iterate on designs before full production.
• Use playtesting, community feedback, and qualitative and quantitative methods to validate and improve features.
• Shape the player experience and collaborate with the Game Director, operational managers, live-community designers, and community members.
• Lead design workflows from concept through delivery while maintaining a high bar for product quality.

Requirements

• 6+ years of game design experience with medium-to-large teams in the video game industry.
• Experience leading a team of at least 5 game designers.
• Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience across game design disciplines, including concept development, progression, interface, monetization, and retention.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, organization, and workflow management skills.
• Experience with MS Office, JIRA, Notion, and other design tools.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in the crypto space.
• Experience in a startup environment.
