What you will do
- Lead product assessments from pre-close diligence through post-close value creation and exit preparation.
- Evaluate product strategy, roadmap, go-to-market, AI/ML integration, product-market fit, and growth projections.
- Review product team structure, delivery capability, and organizational readiness.
- Conduct primary research via executive interviews, customer discovery, and expert networks.
- Synthesize findings into investment-grade deliverables and communicate to deal teams and leadership.
- Advise portfolio company leaders on product strategy, prioritization, and capability development.
Requirements
- 15+ years of product management experience in senior/executive roles (Director, VP, CPO) at B2B software/SaaS companies
- Track record shipping products at scale, owning strategy, roadmap, and agile delivery.
- Hands-on experience building/leading AI/ML-powered products, including strategy, build/partner/buy decisions, and model risk.
- Ability to critically evaluate external AI strategies, data assets, and roadmap realism.
- Strong analytical skills using market research, customer data, and competitive intelligence.
- Exceptional communication to translate complexity for non-technical executives.
- Experience across enterprise software, B2B SaaS, and full SDLC.
- Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with high accountability.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in management consulting, investment due diligence, or PE advisory.
- Familiarity with PE investment models, deal processes, and value creation.
- Experience at/advising PE-backed companies through growth, improvement, or M&A.
- Vertical depth in FinTech, HealthTech, GovTech, LegalTech, MarTech, HR Tech.
- Building/scaling product organizations.
- Exposure to sell-side advisory or investor-facing storytelling.
