What you will do
- Build consumer experiences taking responsibility for code quality, scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Work in a team of 5+ developers on a large-scale PHP/Laravel codebase
- Practice disciplined software engineering with clean, readable code and continuous improvements
- Contribute to scrum processes, development infrastructure, and deployment pipelines
- Solve complex problems remotely as a self-starter
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional backend development experience
- Expert-level proficiency in PHP and deep experience with Laravel framework
- Professional experience or strong proficiency in Python
- Knowledge of database design and SQL
- Experience writing unit tests
- Experience working remotely with strong communication skills
Nice to have
- Interest in or experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)
- Experience with asynchronous programming
- Experience with Kotlin or Java
- Passionate sports fan with understanding of fan engagement
