What you will do

• Develop and take ownership of the core ECDIS system.
• Implement and optimize chart visualization features.
• Contribute to high-level system design and architecture discussions.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews, technical evaluations, and documentation.
• Build deep domain expertise in maritime navigation and safety-critical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field.
• Solid experience with C++ and interest in newer versions.
• Experience with the Windows development platform.
• English: Good spoken and written communication skills required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from hirify.global, Norway.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time data visualization or map-related graphics.
• Knowledge of maritime navigation, ECDIS, or other safety-critical systems.
• Experience with C#, .NET, WPF, MFC, and Git.
