Senior Cloud Network Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Cloud Network Engineer (AWS/Azure): Assist in planning, design, installation, configuration, and connectivity of multi-cloud network systems with an accent on stable operation of data networks and security. Focus on developing strategic plans, testing performance, implementing best practices, and managing VPCs, transit gateways, routing, VPN, Direct Connect, and security appliances.

Location: United States remote. For compliance reasons, all personnel must be United States Citizens and have, for 3 of the past 5 years, resided in the United States OR worked for the United States overseas in a federal or military capacity OR be a dependent of a federal or military employee serving overseas. In addition to our standard pre-employment background check and drug screen, you will be required to undergo additional checks to obtain an LAR certification.

Salary: $110,000-140,000 base annually

What you will do

• Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans for network capacity and security.
• Develop methodologies for testing network performance and providing statistics and reports.
• Define and contribute best practices for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting AWS network infrastructure.
• Design centralized cloud connectivity patterns for consistent network and security access.
• Collaborate with network, security, engineering, cloud, and automation teams on AWS features.
• Manage VPC, transit gateways, routing, remote VPN, Direct Connect, and security appliances.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights for network devices.

Requirements

• Four-year university degree in computer science or 7+ years equivalent experience.
• 7-10+ years managing and configuring multi-cloud networks (Azure/AWS).
• Excellent understanding of large interconnected networks, IP overlap, static routing.
• Experience with Palo Alto NGFW, Cloud NGFW, Panorama, and Strata Cloud logging.
• Understanding of orchestration and automation (CloudFormation, ARM/BICEP, Terraform).
• Proficient in JavaScript, Python, Java, .NET, or similar.
• United States Citizen with 3 of past 5 years US residency or specific federal/military work/dependent status.

Nice to have

• Azure Administrator Associate or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• CI/CD principles, Visual Studio, GIT.
• Global network experience with international staff and vendors.
• Multi-cloud fabric exchanges, Zscaler Private Access.
