What you will do

• Lead end-to-end visual direction for Merge Dragons! from pre-production through to live operations.
• Define the art strategy and tactical plans to ensure predictable delivery of high-quality assets and technical features.
• Manage and mentor the art leadership team to foster a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Tech Art to create intuitive and scalable UI/UX solutions within Unity.
• Oversee production pipelines and outsourcing partnerships to meet creative goals within technical constraints.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging trends and AI tools to optimize the art pipeline.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading art teams through the full game development lifecycle.
• Strong working knowledge of Unity pipelines and alignment of artistic vision with technical performance targets.
• Mastery of color theory, lighting, and composition.
• Ability to translate complex game systems into clear, player-centric experiences.
• Experience creating style guides and mood boards to articulate art direction to internal and external teams.

Nice to have

• Experience within the mobile gaming sector.
• Proven experience leading UI/UX direction for a shipped title.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-level UI visual quality and deep UX thinking.
• Experience creating and maintaining robust UI design systems.
