Consulting Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States; based in the greater Philadelphia area. Local travel to client sites is required 25%-40% depending on experience and client commitments.

Salary: $85,000-$105,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Support Maintenance Rule implementation and day-to-day nuclear power plant risk management operations.
• Advise work planners on maintenance scheduling to minimize operational risk.
• Maintain and update configuration risk management software models.
• Respond to emergent plant risk management activities and risk-related issues.
• Interface with plant operations and engineering departments on risk-related matters.
• Develop and maintain risk-related documentation and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or another engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in Navy nuclear or commercial nuclear power plants.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with probabilistic risk assessment engineers and support substantial onsite client interaction.
