What you will do

• Develop new mining strategies including run loading, sample selection, and storage stages in hirify.global's data mining framework.
• Integrate ML-driven data curation techniques like embedding-based search and vision-language model filtering.
• Scale pipelines across distributed compute resources and improve configuration and observability for developers.
• Work with large-scale autonomous driving logs to deliver targeted training data for perception models.
• Collaborate with the Perception Data team on tooling and pipelines for high-quality data at scale.

Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• Proficiency in Python with data libraries (pandas, NumPy, PyArrow)
• Experience with web or frontend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, Vue, React, Angular with TypeScript)
• Understanding of computer vision concepts (object detection, bounding boxes, point clouds)
• Experience with SQL or large-scale data tools (Databricks, PySpark)
• Commit to 12-week summer 2026 internship (specific cohorts)
• At least one previous industry internship or relevant project
• Good academic standing and Git/version control experience

Nice to have

• ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) for vision tasks
• Embedding models (CLIP) or VLMs for data curation
• Distributed computing (Spark, Airflow) or cloud (AWS S3, Databricks)
• Protobuf, data mining, active learning, or LiDAR/camera data experience
