Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, New York, or Denver) or Remote (US). A two-day trip to a office for onboarding is required.
Salary: $163,000–$247,000 + Equity

What you will do
- Design and build core money movement and risk platform services, including payment rails, ledgering, wallets, and KYC/AML capabilities.
- Develop infrastructure for bad actor prevention to stop fraud while reducing false positives.
- Scale and maintain one of the world's largest Ruby on Rails and React applications.
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Design teams to prototype, iterate, and launch new platform features.
- Mentor other engineers to solve complex technical challenges in highly complex domains at scale.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience owning multi-quarter projects that solve complex engineering problems with measurable impact.
- Experience with large-scale refactors, performance tuning, and reliability engineering.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and emerging AI frameworks to accelerate development and improve testing.
- Must be based in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience with or strong interest in Ruby on Rails.
- Appreciation for a collaborative, test-driven development (TDD) environment.
- Ability to build well-structured, maintainable, and documented code.
