Integration Technician (Space Systems)

TL;DR

Integration Technician (Space Systems): Supporting the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) team in preparing flight hardware and assisting mechanical engineering with prototype projects with an accent on hardware life-cycles and production scaling. Focus on transitioning product lines from engineering development to full rate production and qualifying hardware test setups.

Location: Onsite in San Jose, CA (USA). Must be a U.S. person (Citizen, Green Card holder, etc.) due to ITAR/EAR export control regulations.

Salary: $102,000 – $131,000 annually

What you will do

• Support mechanical engineering in building pre-production, qualification, and flight hardware.
• Assist in transitioning product lines from engineering development to full rate production.
• Set up and activate production lines and qualify hardware test setups.
• Manage rework and recovery efforts for non-conforming hardware.
• Support tooling fabrication, factory automation projects, and general production.

Requirements

• Experience working with engineers in development and production environments.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and assembly drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be a U.S. person or eligible to access export controlled information per U.S. Government regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD software such as Solidworks.
• Familiarity with MES and ERP systems.
• Experience working in a Class 10k (ISO 7) cleanroom.
• A&P Certification.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and work in tight spaces or climb ladders.
