Algorithmic Trading Senior Manager (Sports Betting)

Location: Jersey City, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $156,000–$204,750 USD annually, with potential bonus and stock-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and improve automated market-making algorithms for sports betting markets.
• Lead day-to-day operations and execution of an algorithmic trading team providing 24/7 coverage.
• Build statistical forecasting models using real-time data feeds, line movements, and market signals.
• Manage order flow, capital allocation, P&L, and position risk across thousands of simultaneous markets.
• Aggregate pricing data from APIs, web scraping, and third-party providers to support trading decisions.
• Partner with engineering, product, commercial, and risk teams to improve trading infrastructure, user interfaces, latency, and reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of quantitative or algorithmic trading experience, preferably in sports betting, prediction markets, derivatives, or market making.
• Proven positive P&L from systematic trading strategies and strong knowledge of market microstructure, liquidity provision, and order book dynamics.
• Experience with automated trading systems, trading APIs, programmatic order execution, and position management.
• Strong programming ability in Python, C++, Java, Golang, or similar languages for production trading systems.
• Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, APIs or web scraping, large datasets, and rapid quantitative analysis.
• Deep knowledge of sports betting markets, sports statistics, handicapping, predictive modeling, and common bet types.

Nice to have

• Experience with low-latency systems and performance optimization.
• Experience with poker, daily fantasy sports, fantasy sports, or other skill-based competitive games involving game theory.
