What you will do

  • Provide Level 2/3 support for loan servicing platforms, triaging issues and implementing fixes.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries and Ruby scripts for data investigation and corrections.
  • Perform feature enhancements, maintenance, and bug fixes within the Ruby on Rails codebase.
  • Monitor application health and performance using tools like OpenSearch and New Relic.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex) to accelerate debugging and log analysis.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to drive resolution of technical issues.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in software support or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails with experience maintaining production web applications.
  • Advanced SQL skills for writing complex queries and stored procedures (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Strong understanding of OOP principles and ability to navigate large codebases.
  • Must be based in Mexico.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (GitHub, GitLab).

Nice to have

  • Experience with observability platforms such as New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, or Splunk.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (ChatGPT, Claude) for code generation.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and troubleshooting via Postman.
  • Exposure to AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks like RSpec and Capybara.
