Salary: $170,000—$259,000 USD

What you will do

• Fix time-sensitive scaling bottlenecks for the Ride Hailing product across the entire Waymo codebase.
• Build internal tools to monitor and enhance autonomous driving behavior.
• Identify and resolve critical technical pain points that exist between different teams and organizations.
• Rapidly ramp up and contribute to various parts of the Waymo technology stack.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PHD in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong professional experience programming in C++ with an emphasis on robust and efficient code.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within and across multiple teams.
• Capacity to rapidly learn and adapt to new codebases and projects.
• Valid US work authorization.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of professional Software Engineering experience.
• Experience using SQL to collect and analyze data.
