What you will do

• Analyze external data sources for structure, quality, and alignment with internal standards and product requirements.
• Define functional specifications for extraction and ingestion, including source-to-target mappings and normalization rules.
• Collaborate with developers to design, refine, and support ETL/ELT components.
• Validate ingested data in lower environments using SQL to troubleshoot discrepancies, anomalies, and processing issues.
• Coordinate data pipeline deployments and perform post-production monitoring in partnership with QA.
• Document data characteristics, transformation logic, and mapping decisions to ensure long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar technical data-focused role.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience analyzing raw data and defining transformation requirements for system-ready outputs.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with data ingestion pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, or legacy database environments.
• Exposure to flat-file ingestion, API-based data retrieval, or web-based data extraction.
• Knowledge of data governance practices.
• Experience with insurance, financial, medical, or other regulated datasets.
