Contractor, Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

What you will do

• Develop and maintain EHS programs and policies for regulatory compliance, including incident tracking and corrective actions.
• Conduct lab tours, facility walkthroughs, and routine safety checks for consistent on-the-ground coverage.
• Manage biosafety, chemical safety, and hazardous waste disposal, coordinating with lab teams.
• Deliver EHS training and onboarding for staff and contractors.
• Stand up ESG program through data gathering, tracking, and sustainability reporting.
• Assist with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, documentation, and process coordination.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Environmental Studies, EHS, Sustainability, or related field.
• 1-3 years in EHS, sustainability coordination, or program administration.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in lab safety, compliance, and sustainability.
• Strong familiarity using AI tools.

Nice to have

• Exposure to biosafety, chemical hygiene, or hazardous waste handling.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001/45001 frameworks.
• Experience with ESG data collection or sustainability reporting.
• Prior experience with lab safety management tools.
