What you will do

• Design and operate high-scale full-stack solutions and APIs for B2B commerce partnerships across APAC.
• Localize portal features to ensure seamless integration with regional payment and distribution standards.
• Utilize LLMs and AI tooling to generate production-grade code and implement agentic AI systems.
• Develop and maintain gRPC and REST-based microservices for real-time travel inventory and fintech ancillaries.
• Work autonomously to resolve complex technical challenges with asynchronous global alignment.
• Iterate on engineering improvements to enhance scalability and performance of B2B travel ecosystems.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with React and TypeScript for complex e-commerce web interfaces.
• Proficiency in Scala and distributed systems or a strong desire to apply functional programming to backend architectures.
• Hands-on knowledge of GCP and cloud-native practices, specifically regarding latency and data residency.
• Adeptness with AI-driven workflows and the use of LLMs for development.
• Must be based in Japan.
