Director of Engineering (Frontend Technologies, Marketplace): Architect and implement platform-specific changes enhancing modularity, autonomy, resilience, and performance across Android, iOS, and Web with an accent on Design Systems, CI/CD, Modularization, and App Releases. Focus on leading strategic initiatives like frontend modularization (SwiftUI/Jetpack Compose), native automated testing, AI-efficiency enablement, and cross-platform opportunities.

Location: Hybrid in Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania (2 days in office recommended but not enforced)

Salary: €8,100 - €11,000 gross per month

What you will do

• Lead horizontal platform-focused domain with Android, iOS, Web, and Design System teams.
• Drive technology strategy for modular, scalable frontend architecture enabling rapid development.
• Oversee Marketplace-wide tooling, core libraries, frameworks, and strategic projects like modularization and modernization.
• Integrate design systems and accessibility to consolidate technical and visual standards.
• Maintain release processes, quality, performance monitoring for resilience and reliability.
• Innovate with AI-efficiency in frontend development and cross-platform opportunities.
• Shape domain identity, integrating Design Systems to treat frontends as a cohesive product.

Requirements

• Deep experience in at least one: Android, iOS, Web, or cross-platform development
• 3+ years managing other leaders with strong ownership
• Lead 4 Engineering Managers and 3 Staff Engineers, impacting 9 Product domains
• Set and implement FE strategy for Marketplace roadmaps
• Balance foundational capabilities for developer velocity and user satisfaction

• Experience in both frontends/UI and leadership
