Director of Engineering (Frontend Technologies)

Location: Based in Lithuania, with hybrid work from the Kaunas or Vilnius offices; two office days per week are recommended but not enforced.

Salary: €8,100–€11,000 gross per month

What you will do

• Lead the horizontal Frontend Technologies domain across Android, iOS, Web, and Design System teams.
• Define and drive the future frontend technology strategy for the Marketplace.
• Oversee platform tooling, core libraries, frameworks, modularization, modernization, and native automated testing initiatives.
• Improve design systems, accessibility, UI quality, release processes, resilience, and performance monitoring.
• Lead 4 Engineering Managers and 3 Staff Engineers while influencing 9 product domains and more than 40 teams.
• Drive AI-enabled frontend efficiency and explore cross-platform development opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience leading leaders.
• At least 5 years of experience influencing without formal authority.
• Strong technical acumen for discussing frontend architecture and engineering problems with technical leaders.
• Experience setting long-term strategy and translating it into near-term deliverables.
• Ability to lead organizational and technology change across multiple product domains.
• Based in Lithuania or willing to relocate to Lithuania.
