What you will do

• Own the design and development of storage middleware with a focus on production readiness and scalability.
• Integrate and optimize distributed storage technologies including Lustre, WEKA, BeeGFS, and DAOS.
• Analyze storage workloads, develop benchmarks, and deliver fixes based on real customer use cases.
• Collaborate with kernel, driver, firmware, and performance teams to support product development.
• Contribute to upstream open-source storage software projects.
• Take full responsibility for features from initial ideation through to remote deployment and maintenance.

Requirements

• Experience in high-performance systems programming in C/C++ on Linux.
• Proven experience developing, debugging, or optimizing storage middleware or related high-performance software.
• Familiarity with distributed storage platforms such as Lustre, WEKA, BeeGFS, or DAOS.
• Ability to analyze system stability and identify performance bottlenecks to deliver production-quality fixes.
• Must be residing in the United States.

• Experience with distributed storage environments at cluster scale.
• Contributions to open-source software or upstream-facing engineering.
• Proficiency with performance testing, benchmarking, and tracing tools.
