Location: Full-time, 100% remote position in the United States (from home or co-working space) with occasional travel once every 2-3 months. Employees must follow Covid safety protocols and be fully vaccinated and boosted (accommodations provided; encouraged but not required in Florida and Texas due to state law).

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 (depending on experience)

What you will do

• Research, report, and adapt timely cultural stories for social media-first distribution on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
• Develop, script, and produce original short-form videos, carousels, static posts, and interactive Stories in Spanish and Spanglish.
• Serve as on-camera talent and experiment with new storytelling formats, franchises, and series focused on Latino culture, identity, immigration, and social impact.
• Pitch and produce impact-driven stories, explainers, opinion pieces, and cultural commentary integrating diverse voices and reliable sources.
• Monitor performance metrics, use social media tools, analytics, and AI for scripting, research, editing, and ideation.
• Uphold journalistic standards of accuracy, transparency, fairness, and cultural empathy in community-centered reporting.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as journalist/storyteller developing cultural content for Latino community on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube with social justice focus
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish with native-level Spanish speaking/writing
• Strong journalistic research, fact-checking, investigative skills, and full-cycle content creation (research, scripting, editing, publishing)
• Passion for short-form news, innovative formats, trends, data analysis, and collaboration in fast-paced remote team
• Deadline-driven, detail-oriented, adaptable, with learning mindset for new tools including Lean Startup methodology
• Deep cultural competency in U.S. Latino experiences and Gen Z digital culture

Nice to have

• Familiarity with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut)
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows and analytics platforms
