TL;DR
Master Data Management (MDM) Engineer (IBM MDM/Java/Python): Designing and implementing MDM solutions for a large-scale healthcare dataset with an accent on data profiling, complex querying, and cloud integration. Focus on optimizing patient identity matching, mentoring junior engineers, and migrating on-premise systems to the cloud.
Location: Remote (USA). Occasional travel to Mississauga or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding and team events is required.
Salary: $113,000 – $126,000 per year

What you will do
- Design, develop, and implement MDM solutions, primarily using IBM MDM Standard Edition.
- Perform data profiling and analysis using Python, Excel, and other analytical tools.
- Develop complex queries, stored procedures, and DML/DDL using MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2.
- Build backend functionality using Core Java, Python, and Shell Script.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
- Mentor junior team members and provide effort estimations for RFPs.
Requirements
- Must be based in the USA.
- 5-7 years of IT experience with a focus on MDM or patient identity matching.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience with IBM MDM Standard Edition.
- Proficiency in Core Java, Python, and Shell Script.
- Strong experience with MS SQL, Oracle, or DB2 databases.
- Intermediate experience with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) and knowledge of ETL processes.
Nice to have
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD integration.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data mining, and large-scale enterprise MDM implementation.
- Experience with enterprise Java development using EJB and Spring Boot.
- Experience migrating on-premise systems to the cloud.
