Sr SWE - Developer Experience (DevEx): Building tools, systems, and processes that improve developer productivity, satisfaction, and effectiveness with an accent on AI-powered coding assistants and workflow automation. Location: Hybrid; must reside within commutable distance to Mississauga, Ontario or Salt Lake City office for regular in-office events
Salary: CAD $142,000–$158,000 + bonus + benefits

What you will do
- Leverage AI-powered coding assistants like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to boost developer productivity, onboarding, and code quality.
- Evaluate and integrate AI tools into workflows for code generation, documentation, and testing.
- Design, build, and maintain internal tools, libraries, and automation to streamline developer workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to address pain points.
- Advocate for best practices in CI/CD, testing, observability, and code quality.
- Monitor developer productivity metrics and contribute to documentation and education.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background (e.g., Java, Python).
- Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with developer tooling (linters, formatters, IDE plugins).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience integrating or building AI-powered developer tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience on internal platforms or developer tooling.
- Familiarity with metrics and telemetry (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Contributions to open-source DevEx tools.
