What you will do

• Architect and deploy complex distributed systems with high-performance data architectures and real-time streaming.
• Lead the development of near-real time and intraday solution pipelines supporting multiple asset classes.
• Integrate market data feeds, position management systems, P&L Risk, and Back Office solutions.
• Establish software engineering best practices and mentor junior delivery team members.
• Collaborate with client CTOs and Engineering Leads to align technical delivery with trading objectives.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Python, Javascript, and SQL.
• Proven experience with streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka) and modern data stack tools.
• Demonstrated ability to design low-latency, high-throughput systems with microsecond-level performance.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure managed services for data processing and storage.
• Deep knowledge of transactional (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and analytical (ClickHouse, MongoDB) databases.
• Location: Must be based in London
