What you will do

• Drive financial and customer outcomes via machine learning and collaboration across marketing, acquisitions, fraud, portfolio management, and collections.
• Develop the data science team to integrate new data sources, enhance modeling, and ensure sound risk management.
• Lead strategic data science direction reporting to the COO.
• Deploy and manage experiments and models in production.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship)
• Experience operating data science teams to achieve business goals through talent development and cross-functional partnerships.
• Applied data science to credit risk management.
• Deep knowledge of data science fundamentals and ability to communicate vision for solving practical problems.
• Expertise in software engineering (TDD, code review, refactoring) and PyData stack (numpy, scikit-learn, polars).
• Balance development speed with compliance in regulated industry.

• Experience in consumer lending or fintech.
