TL;DR

Manager, Data Analyst (AdTech): Lead a team of data analysts transitioning from reactive data-pulling to proactive consultative partners maximizing ad inventory yield with an accent on operational excellence, stakeholder management, and narrative-driven insights. Focus on coaching team on business acumen, implementing delivery pipelines, aligning goals to ad revenue, and operationalizing ML models into workflows.

Hybrid in Berlin, Germany (2 days a week in Berlin campus). Relocation support to Berlin available.

What you will do

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of data analysts through 1:1s, career progression, and coaching on business acumen and data storytelling.
  • Own team’s delivery pipeline with sprint planning or intake processes to focus on high-ROI projects.
  • Act as point of contact for Director-level stakeholders in Commercial, Product, and Engineering; negotiate roadmaps and manage expectations.
  • Translate Ads division strategy into quarterly goals ensuring analyses tie to ad revenue maximization.
  • Review team’s SQL queries, dashboards, and presentations for optimization and impact before senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Staff Analysts to integrate advanced ML models like churn prediction into team workflows.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in Data Analytics, BI, or Data Science, preferably in Monetization, AdTech, or Marketplace.
  • 2+ years mentoring, leading, or managing analysts (e.g., Technical Lead or Scrum Master).
  • Expert in SQL and BI tools (Tableau, Looker); solid Python, ML concepts, and GCP or similar.
  • Exceptional prioritization and ability to say "no" to low-value requests.
  • Strong commercial fluency in digital ad auctions (CPM/CPC) and profitability measurement.
