What you will do

• Review roadway images and inspection records to validate AI-generated outputs.
• Annotate pavement distress patterns, including cracking, rutting, spalling, patching, and weathering.
• Assess the accuracy of distress types and severity levels according to PCI methodology.
• Provide written feedback explaining AI misidentifications or misinterpretations of severity levels.
• Clarify how professionals distinguish between similar distress categories to improve model learning.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience conducting or interpreting Pavement Condition Index (PCI) surveys.
• Professional background as a pavement engineer, civil/transportation engineer, or DOT specialist.
• Ability to consistently apply pavement distress definitions and rating criteria.
• Clear written communication skills to explain inspection reasoning and classification decisions.
