What you will do

• Design and architect complex software systems that meet functional, performance, and security requirements.
• Build, test, and maintain high‑quality software across the full development lifecycle.
• Serve as an Advanced Security Champion, partnering with the Application Security team to improve the company's security posture.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers to maintain high engineering standards and code quality.
• Collaborate with product, security, and cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
• Support release planning and delivery to ensure reliable, compliant, and high-quality releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in professional software engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in designing and developing complex software systems.
• Deep interest in cyber security and secure development practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to work from the Christchurch office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Relevant security certifications or currently working towards one.
