Salary: $147,000 - $203,000 (depending on region)

What you will do

• Architect, design, and build new features for the Connectivity team, specifically the Bluetooth layer.
• Collaborate closely with Firmware and Platform teams to optimize the interface between hardware and software.
• Ensure consistency across applications and maintain app-ring connectivity for millions of devices.
• Prototype and implement new frameworks and ways of working to improve productivity.
• Develop systems to ensure performant, maintainable apps and improve the developer experience during scaling.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States (excluding specific states).
• Proven experience shipping and maintaining products using Android Bluetooth APIs or libraries.
• Professional experience developing and shipping high-quality Android applications.
• Mastery of Kotlin.
• Strong technical specification skills and the ability to manage complex, maintainable systems.
• Deep understanding of UI level and application engine level challenges and SDK APIs.

Nice to have

• Experience with RxJava and reactive programming.
• Proficiency with Coroutines and the Flow framework.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of functional programming in Kotlin.
• Experience with C++.
