LLM Research Engineer (NLP)

What you will do

• Curation of datasets for pre-training, supervised fine-tuning, and alignment.
• Research and develop best practices and novel techniques in LLM training and evaluation pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers, annotators, linguists, and domain experts to scale data processes and collect high-quality feedback.
• Design and prototype scalable data preparation pipelines.
• Implement state-of-the-art evaluation and benchmarking frameworks for model quality.
• Ensure models align with user needs, cultural context, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years in Data Science or Machine Learning, focus on NLP.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, ML or related.
• Practical experience fine-tuning LLMs/VLMs.
• Hands-on with modern NLP: embedding models, semantic search, text classification, NER, transformers/LLMs, RAGs.
• Strong experience with PyTorch or JAX; efficient coding and debugging complex models.

Nice to have

• Reinforcement Learning in NLP/LLM settings.
• LLM safety, fairness, bias mitigation.
• Generating/curating synthetic datasets for SFT.
• Publications in NLP/ML or open-source contributions.
• MLOps: Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Airflow, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), big data (Spark etc.).
