What you will do

• Design and build seamless authentication and identity experiences for individual users and large enterprises.
• Implement and maintain SSO, SAML integrations, SCIM-based provisioning, and domain control.
• Develop secure, fault-tolerant systems with high observability and auditability for security-sensitive flows.
• Establish standardized authentication practices and advise other engineering teams on identity patterns.
• Collaborate with Security, Sales, and Support to balance user experience with enterprise requirements.
• Evolve identity capabilities to support new authentication methods and multi-product identity.

Requirements

• Experience shipping backend services to production with a strong understanding of latency and observability.
• Ability to work across the full stack with a heavy emphasis on backend development in Ruby.
• Capacity to take ambiguous problems, break them down, and drive them to completion.
• Strong collaborative skills, including a comfort with pairing and mobbing.
• Based in or able to work from Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with identity protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and idempotency.
• Experience with infrastructure, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Background in creating shared libraries or advising other teams on best practices.
• Interest in AI adoption to improve the software development process.
