What you will do

• Build tax calculation and reporting logic across multiple locations
• Integrate third-party tax providers
• Improve system resilience, uptime, and reliability under high load
• Make architectural decisions and set technical direction for the Taxes module
• Mentor engineers and grow the team
• Deliver key functionality with comprehensive automated testing (unit, integration, functional, e2e)

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience
• 1.5+ years of commercial Go development
• Strong understanding of high-load system design
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with queues or streams
• Strong testing culture: unit, integration, functional, e2e tests
• Proactive, independent, result-oriented mindset

Nice to have

• Kafka
• AWS services
• CI/CD pipelines
• Fintech, payments, or financial domain experience
• Understanding of VAT, GST, Sales Tax
