Software Engineer II (Fullstack eCommerce)

TL;DR

Software Engineer II (Fullstack eCommerce): Design and develop complex features and components for cloud-based SaaS platform with an accent on scalable backend and frontend solutions using PHP/Laravel and React/Vue/Angular. Focus on architecting resilient systems, leading feature development, troubleshooting production issues, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Fully remote from Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh), Vietnam time (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Mon-Fri). Collaborate with teams in Vietnam and Leicester, UK.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex features for cloud-based SaaS applications.
• Lead medium to large features from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Architect scalable, resilient solutions and address technical debt.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers to refine requirements and resolve production issues.
• Evaluate new technologies and stay current with best practices.

Requirements

• 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent; Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering preferred.
• Expert in PHP/Laravel backend and one frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular).
• Strong OOP, design patterns (SOLID, DRY), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience leading small-medium teams in Agile/Scrum.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Monitoring, security best practices, AI coding tools.

Nice to have

• eCommerce/Shopify experience.
