Software Development Engineer (Identity Proofing)

Software Development Engineer (Identity Proofing): Design and develop services as part of distributed applications for document and image processing with an accent on maintainability, testability, performance, security, and quality. Location: Spain, fully remote/hybrid with in-office collaboration several days a week (Madrid office).

What you will do

• Design and develop services for distributed applications in the Documents team.
• Collaborate with team and product owner on requirements.
• Ensure maintainability, testability, performance, security, and quality of services.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve the platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Java v21 and Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Fluency in English and Spanish

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Previous experience with documents/image processing, biometrics compression, ML, and AI
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, scalability, resiliency, and security
