Location: Hybrid (Must be based in New York City, 3 days in office)

Salary: $177,000 – $230,000

What you will do

• Research and prototype new blockchain features, including Layer 2 solutions, cross-chain bridges, and DeFi protocols
• Design and implement secure, scalable blockchain solutions that integrate with existing infrastructure
• Collaborate with blockchain foundations and vendors to provide feedback on protocol design and tooling
• Work with product, engineering, and security teams to define technical requirements for blockchain initiatives
• Mentor and guide other engineers on blockchain technologies and implementations
• Monitor and integrate emerging blockchain technologies and industry developments

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience in Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Knowledge of consensus mechanisms, cryptographic primitives, and distributed systems
• Previous professional experience in the blockchain ecosystem
• Must be based in New York City for a hybrid work model
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API design
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to have

• 4+ years of hands-on blockchain development experience
• Experience with institutional DeFi, staking protocols, or custody solutions
• Understanding of MPC, multi-signature wallets, and advanced cryptographic techniques
• Ability to apply AI tools for programming (vibe coding)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
