Software Developer - Skillbridge (Simulation): Supporting the development, sustainment, and enhancement of advanced simulation software for military training systems with an accent on cybersecurity and system integration. Location: Onsite at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

What you will do

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain simulation software components, tools, and system interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware and modeling teams to integrate software with simulator components and avionics interfaces.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices and secure coding standards to ensure compliance with DoD security requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers, assisting with task planning and code reviews.
• Investigate and resolve complex system-level issues involving networking and real-time performance.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and configuration management records within a controlled environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development, ideally within DoD, aerospace, or simulation environments.
• Proficiency in object-oriented languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
• Experience integrating software within IT-centric or cybersecurity-controlled architectures.
• Familiarity with real-time systems, simulation frameworks, or distributed software architectures.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance prior to start date.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or Cybersecurity.
• Experience with military training systems or high-fidelity simulators.
• Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, STIGs, etc.).
