What you will do

• Develop evaluation frameworks for autonomous vehicle performance, ML models, and simulation quality.
• Create new metrics, interpret trends, and investigate anomalies in simulation and on-road data.
• Develop statistical methods for AV data challenges like rare events and combining real/synthetic data.
• Frame ambiguous problems, scope priorities, and innovate on statistical approaches.
• Derive conclusions from data and communicate to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on hirify.global Driver and simulation deployment.
• Mentor data scientists and provide technical feedback.

Requirements

• Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Physics).
• 5+ years industry data science experience or PhD + 3+ years.
• Expertise in advanced statistical methods; familiarity with ML systems.
• Knowledge of Python/SQL/R data analysis libraries.

Nice to have

• PhD in quantitative field.
• Track record driving data science projects to business value.
• Experience in autonomous driving, ride hailing, advanced ML, traffic modeling, or safety evaluation.
