What you will do

• Drive architectural decisions for high-availability and scale, ensuring monitoring, logging, and graceful degradation from the start.
• Steer delivery and planning by prioritizing completion, weighing cost vs value, and protecting team focus.
• Connect tech to business by explaining trade-offs in terms of cost, time, risk, and capability to stakeholders.
• Multiply impact through mentoring, detailed feedback, and sponsoring stretch assignments for teammates.
• Set quality bar with AI-augmented development standards, security by design, and threat modeling in daily workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building high-availability, high-transaction systems in production using Java and cloud-based solutions (preferably AWS)
• Technical product thinker viewing problems from business and customer outcomes perspective
• Comfortable in ambiguity, making timely decisions without perfect clarity
• Boundary-spanning collaborator proactively solving problems across teams
• Operationally driven, spotting systemic risks and vulnerabilities early
